The Jeff Coffin Mutet features Jeff Coffin and Futureman of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Kofi Burbridge of Derek Trucks band and Felix Pastorius son of the late, great Jaco Pastorius. Everytime they get together jaws drop, eyes pop open and crowds roar! Jeff Coffin blasts two saxophones at once, Futureman goes into a frenzy playing his invented instruments, Felix Pastorius shows off seemingly impossible bass solos, while Kofi Burbridge's astounds listeners with the flute.

It's a sight and sound that leaves most audiences stunned, but those more familiar with their fiery approach know anything is possible when The Mu'Tet hits the stage.

Jeff Coffin is a talent whose virtuosity, energy and originality are rare and refreshing. Jazz Now Magazine said, "Jeff's solos are full of fiery passion." The Denver Post described his playing as "...breathtaking musical interplay..." With an extensive career that stretches far and wide beyond his Flecktones fame, including two award winning solo albums (NMA Jazz Album of the year 2000), appearances with everyone from Bruce Springsteen to Van Morrison, Coffin has solidified himself as respected songwriter, eclectic musician and contemporary pioneer of the saxophone. This is the Jazz event of the year!! All Proceeds benefit the St. Johns Cultural Council. Sponsored by the Lightner Museum.
