| Amphitheater workshops set From Staff Publication Date: 06/03/07
The St. Johns Cultural Council is holding two workshops Tuesday to get ideas from members of the arts and nonprofit communities on how they would like to use the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. "We hope to start a conversation between the amphitheater and nonprofits on access to the facility," said Phil McDaniel, president of the Cultural Council. The meetings will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation Building on Mizell Road on Anastasia Island. The workshops will feature a question-and-answer session for amphitheater staff and board members of the county's cultural arts and nonprofit groups interested in renting the amphitheater for events and festivals. Topics to be covered include: booking policies, proposed rental fees, concessions and a general discussion of reasonable, affordable public access.
