On Saturday October 20th , approximately forty community arts advocates gathered
at Cunningham Creek Elementary school. The workshop was led by Sherron Long,
President and CEO of the Florida Association of Local Arts Agencies and the Florida
Cultural Alliance. The dedicated group worked for nearly 6 hours seeking to identify
existing cultural resources and priority "Arts Needs" for the greater NW St. Johns Community.

A summary report of the October 20th workshop is being compiled by Mrs. Long and should
be ready within 7 to 10 days. Click here for a list of all official Local Arts Agencies
throughout the State of Florida.

Meanwhile, we invite you to hear the sounds of the Fruit Cove Middle School Band who together
with their friends and families, came out that morning to help set the stage for a memorable day.

Listen to the songs they performed under the direction of Mr. Don Isabelle, Band Director, who's
goal is to have every student learn to "LOVE" their instrument. By the sounds of it, many of the
band members have already achieved that honor and are well on their way to greatness.... enjoy.
