Why Donating to the Cultural Council is Important

The St. Johns Cultural Council, formed in July of 2000, is a non-profit public outreach organization that
provides leadership and resources for advocating and promoting arts throughout St. Johns County.

Our strategic goals and mission statement call for the SJCC to:

1. To become the Local Arts Agency for St. Johns County

2. Explore and develop partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies
   and organizations to seek ways to provide local artists and arts organizations
   the tools needed to grow, enrich the community, and achieve the highest level
   of technical and professional excellence possible.

3. Provide programs and services that expand and enrich visual, performing
   and cultural arts throughout St. Johns County schools.

4. To establish and promote "The Art in Public Places Project", a community
   supported initiative that will give artists the opportunity to create and develop
   public art. This project will be a collaborative effort between St. Johns Cultural
   Council, St. Johns County, Ponte Vedra, City of St. Augustine, City of St. Augustine
   Beach, Town of Hastings and new communities being developed throughout the county.
   

5. Endeavor to seek public policy that supports art as a public investment, including
   the establishment of numerous, affordable performance / exhibition venues and
   studio spaces, commonly referred to as "Community Art Centers".

St. Johns County is a dynamic, vibrant, and historically rich community. We are endowed with a
wealth of talented artists, performers, arts educators and arts enthusiasts. Your donation supports
our cultural community, keeping it vital while adding to our economic well-being; further your gift
will help secure a strong foundation for future generations of artists and art lovers.

Please take a moment to reflect on how the arts, music, and dance have enriched your life. With your
donation, the beautiful, thought provoking, memorable moments you have enjoyed through art will
be renewed for you, your family, and everyone in this wonderful place we call home.

2) Send your check (made out to the St. Johns Cultural Council) to P.O Box 840145 St. Augustine, FL 32080.
NOTE: If you'd like to make your donation to a specific activity (Cultural Arts Center Renovation, Arts Education
Programs, Monthly Cultural Arts Programs, etc.), please note it on the memo line.

3) To donate by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), please call 904-806-1440.

GIVE THROUGH YOUR COMPANY'S EMPLOYEE GIVING PLAN

Accounting department.
